Surprise! I also teach line dance classes to beginners! I have a bachelors degree in Secondary Education and English Literature, which means I’m quite capable of leading and supporting people as they learn new things, even if I might be a bit wordy about it.

I have taken a lot of career ~side quests~ in my lifetime already, but they all meander across the same geography. I deeply love magnifying the skills and joys of other human beings.

I have always enjoyed dancing informally cough Bubba’s 80’s nights cough as a way to reset, relieve stress, and connect with my own humanity. Line dance has brought me an avenue to share that in a big way. When I finally learned how to line dance in 2025, I knew I had to make it my business to drag other people into this dorky, fun, very accessible somatic practice.

I believe that anyone can dance and anyone can learn. My favorite dancers are children at weddings and people who do that little wiggle when they eat good food. In classes, I attempt to apply that mentality through structure that keeps expectations of performance low, and introduces shared goals of making mistakes, meeting new people, and moving our bodies.
